Privacy Policy for RE-BUILD-ME-PRO

Effective Date: 20th April 2026

RE-BUILD-ME-PRO ("Pro") is an enhanced version of the RE-BUILD-ME journaling app. While the standard app is designed to be 100% local, Pro offers optional cloud-based features to provide a personalised AI coaching experience. This policy explains what data is involved when you choose to use these Pro features and how we protect it.

This policy applies only to RE-BUILD-ME-PRO. If you use the standard RE-BUILD-ME app, please refer to its separate privacy policy.

1. The Core Difference from the Standard App

Unlike the standard app which operates entirely on your device, RE-BUILD-ME-PRO relies on secure cloud services to enable its core features. Your use of these features is entirely optional and requires you to sign in.

2. Information We Collect and How We Use It

Account Information
When you sign in to RE-BUILD-ME-PRO using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from the provider (your name and email address). This is used solely to create and secure your account and to personalise your in-app experience (e.g., addressing you by name).

Journal Content & AI Coaching
To provide personalised AI coaching, summaries, and insights, your journal entries, reflections, and chat messages are securely transmitted to and stored on our private cloud database, Google Cloud Firestore. Here is how we protect that data:

  • Privacy-First AI Processing: Your privacy is paramount. Before your journal text is sent to our AI provider, personal identifiers like email addresses, phone numbers, and specific addresses are removed. To provide a deeply personal coaching experience, the AI may use first names you have shared in your journal entries and chat. This allows it to reference people and pets you care about (like family members) authentically. Your photos are securely stored and processed using Google's Vertex AI Vision to provide context for your journal.

  • How We Use This Data:

    • To generate your daily and weekly summaries.

    • To enable the AI coach to reference past entries for more relevant, personalised conversations.

    • To sync your journal securely across your own devices.

3. Third-Party Services and Technologies

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate RE-BUILD-ME-PRO. We rely on these providers to process data only according to our instructions and this policy:

4. Your Control and Data Deletion

You can export all your journal entries at any time via the in-app backup feature. If you choose to delete your RE-BUILD-ME Pro account, all associated data—including your account information, journal entries, and chat history—will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our cloud servers. Data cannot be recovered after deletion.

Auto-Delete Policy for Dormant Accounts: To honour your privacy and ensure we don't store your deepest thoughts indefinitely, we will consider your account "dormant" if you do not sign in for 12 consecutive months. We will send a final warning email two weeks before your account is scheduled for deletion. If no action is taken, your account and all associated cloud data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted.

5. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS). Data stored in Firestore is encrypted at rest using Google Cloud's default security protocols. Access to production data is strictly limited to essential personnel for maintaining the service.

6. Subscription Tiers and Usage

RE-BUILD-ME-PRO offers a free tier and a premium subscription. Both tiers are subject to a fair-use daily token limit, which governs the amount of AI coaching you can receive each day.
Free Tier: Provides limited daily access to the AI coach.
Premium Subscription: Provides significantly expanded daily access to the AI coach, with the option to purchase additional token packs if your coaching needs exceed the premium daily limit.
All plans are subject to a fair-use policy to ensure service stability for all users.
Cancellation: You can cancel your premium subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain premium access until the end of your current billing period.

7. Children’s Privacy

RE-BUILD-ME-PRO is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here and, for significant changes, we will notify you within the app. Your continued use of RE-BUILD-ME-PRO after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Justin Tee be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use or inability to use the RE-BUILD-ME-PRO service.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The RE-BUILD-ME-PRO service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements, be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Token usage for AI coaching is governed by the "Subscription Tiers and Usage" section of our Privacy Policy and is subject to a fair-use policy.

RE-BUILD-ME-PRO is registered with the ICO as a Data Controller.
